Radiesse

1 hRocky Point|Bay Shore

Service Description

Radiesse- is a type of dermal filler that is primarily used for facial contouring and to treat wrinkles and folds. It is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. When injected, Radiesse provides immediate volume and lifts the skin to smooth out wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the lines running from the nose to the corners of the mouth). In addition to its immediate volumizing effect, Radiesse stimulates the body’s natural collagen production, which helps to maintain the results over time. Radiesse is commonly used for facial rejuvenation, but it is also FDA-approved for use in the hands to correct volume loss and improve the appearance of aging hands. Radiesse (+) is a variation of Radiesse that includes a small amount of lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to reduce discomfort during the injection process. Both Radiesse and Radiesse (+) are known for their long-lasting effects, typically lasting up to a year or more, depending on the area treated and the individual’s metabolism. Dilute or Hyperdilute Radiesse® refers to a modified application of the Radiesse, where the product has a more fluid consistency. This diluted form of Radiesse® is used not only for adding volume but also for improving skin texture and firmness in areas of the body where the skin is saggy, crepey, or has cellulite-induced irregularities. Application Areas: It is particularly effective in areas where traditional exercise and other treatments may not suffice, such as the neck, décolletage, buttocks, thighs, arms, abdomen, knees, and elbows. - Effects: The treatment works by stimulating the body's natural collagen production, leading to long-term improvements in skin texture, firmness, and laxity. It is also used to smooth out cellulite-induced skin irregularities, especially on the buttocks and thighs, enhancing overall body contours. Results: Patients typically start seeing results about four weeks after the first treatment. Multiple sessions may be required to achieve the best results. Side Effects: Some potential side effects include bruising, swelling, and mild discomfort at the injection site, but most patients tolerate the procedure well. Combination Treatments: This treatment can be effectively combined with other aesthetic procedures such as lasers, radiofrequency microneedling, and other injectables to enhance the overall outcome.
